"Forever young I want to be forever young ...": this was the refrain of a well known hit which was popular in the mid-80s and who belongs to my generation, no longer so "green", will surely remember.
And how not to be fascinated by the myth of Faust or by the beauty uncorrupted by the passing of the time of the young Dorian Gray?
Of course we are talking about myths, literary "deceptions" and yet I assure you that I found a much simpler formula to stay young, to shake off the trappings of the time!
Every time I am given the opportunity to go on Erasmus as an accompanying teacher for our students, I see places already lived with the eyes full of amazement and enthusiasm of the young people who visit them for the first time. So here I am trotting for hours through the streets of London regardless of the tiredness and the kilometers traveled in search of hidden corners, places of interest, unexpected glimpses to show to the students, always eager again, letting myself be influenced by their vitality and energy. Or here I am retracing the places of my youthful holidays, from the long sandy beaches of Ibiza to those of Palma, not to the nostalgic search for that rowdy nightlife or that "people from Ibiza" of the past, but to the rediscovery of breathtaking landscapes, of less touristic and more authentic villages where time seems to stand still, looking for the most authentic aromas and flavors relived with the intensity and light-heartedness that only the young can convey to us.
So what are you waiting for? Embark on this adventure and savor life to the full. Seize these unique and unrepeatable professional experiences in which certainly there will also be difficult and clashing moments, but in the end what will remain will be beautiful memories immortalized by shots of smiling and complicit faces!
